What is direct primary care? Is DPC right for you?
Direct Primary Care is primary and preventive care, urgent care, chronic disease management, and wellness support through a monthly fee that patients or employers pay directly to the provider. On average the patient panel of the provider is ¼ the size of an insurance based primary care provider. This results in same day appointment availability, wait time average of 5 minutes or less, provider spends about 5 times longer with each patient.
By being able to make appointments easily, patients are more likely to seek care when needed. Having more time with the provider helps the provider deliver adequate care and properly address all health concerns.
DPC does not bill insurance or collect a co-pay for services. Appointments are unlimited so the patient can see their provider as many times as needed with no extra out of pocket costs.
Provider is available through telemedicine and via a direct line either text or call.
